May is Mental Health Awareness Month!
This month is a powerful reminder to check in, support one another, and prioritize mental wellness — especially for our students. 💚
Dilley ISD is proud to offer several mental health resources to help your child thrive. If your student is in middle or high school, they also have access to Alongside.care — an online tool that helps them build emotional skills and get support whenever they need it.
Let’s continue working together to support our students’ mental health — this month and every month.
For more info, contact your campus counselor or the Stronger Connections Department.

Mark your calendars for the upcoming Summer Substitute Training Sessions!

Safety & Security Meeting

Mr. San Miguel and Mr. Ochoa attended the JET Grant presentation last Thursday at San Antonio College representing Dilley ISD. Dilley ISD was awarded a grant from the Texas Workforce Commission for upgrades and enhancements to our CTE Welding Shop.
This grant will benefit our CTE students by providing career readiness and training in welding.
A wonderful opportunity for more possibilities for our students! Congratulations to the Welding Department!!!
We Back the Pack!!!
As part of the district’s new Texas Parks & Wildlife Grant, the Stronger Connections Department took the DES GT students on an engaging field trip to Chaparral Wildlife Management Area in Cotulla. Students had the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of native Texas animals, their habitats, and conservation efforts. The hands-on experience deepened their understanding of wildlife ecology and sparked curiosity about the natural world. The trip was a fun and educational way to bring science to life outside the classroom! Thank you Mrs. Hernandez for helping chaperone and Mr. Aguilar for transportation.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Stronger Connections hosted a relaxing painting event led by instructor Sara Garza from Color Your World. Families, friends, colleagues, and peers gathered to unwind, express creativity, and support one another in a calming and supportive environment.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month—a time to remember that every life matters. If you or someone you know is in need of mental health services, please contact Jackie or Jessica at 830-965-1912 ext. 4027 to learn about the many resources available through the district.
