🐺 Wolf Pride!

The Dilley High School Wolves and Lady Wolves turned in an outstanding performance at the Corpus Christi Islander Splash Invitational, highlighted by a 3rd place team finish from the Wolves, a top 3 individual finish from Josiah Benavides, and another medal winning performance from Harvest Viesca. Benavides led the Wolves with an impressive 3rd place finish overall, putting together one of the top individual performances of the day in the Green Division. Ram Ochoa followed in 17th and Owen Surles finished 24th, with all three earning individual medals. The Wolves also received strong efforts from Zaydrian Sauceda, Guadalupe Rodriguez, Hector Acosta, Juan Rodriguez, and Ethan Hernandez as the group worked together to secure a 3rd place team finish against a competitive field. For the Lady Wolves, Harvest Viesca continued her impressive season with a 13th place finish and another individual medal. Larayna Sauceda, Janae Garcia, and Saydi San Miguel also competed and represented Dilley well. It was a big day for Dilley Cross Country, with both individual and team performances showing the continued progress of the Wolves and Lady Wolves as the season moves forward. Congratulations to all of our runners on a great performance in Corpus Christi. Go Wolves and Lady Wolves!

Parents and Visitors: Please park on the East side of the High School.

***NEW DHS PEP RALLY PARKING PROCEDURES***

In order to ensure safety to all students during the busy period of pep rally, parking procedures are as followed:

-All students and staff will use the front parking lots on the west side of the building.
-All west side exits will close at 11:00 am for traffic purposes.
-Parents and visitors to the pep rally will all need to park on the east side of the building. --Entrance to the pep rally will also be on the east side of building.

Officers were called on scene at the County Line and detain Wolfie and Cody. Both want to settle who would be king of I-35 early, but the outcome wasn't what they expected. Frio & La Salle Officers were sent to deescalate the situation.

The good news is that both of them will be released Friday morning in time for the Battle of I-35 to begin! Join us this Friday at Myers Memorial Stadium at 7:00pm as the Dilley Wolves take on the Cotulla Cowboys!

It's that time of the year where bragging finally meets the pavement as the Dilley Wolves battle out the Cotulla Cowboys as they see who claim I-35.

Wolfie and Cody had to be restrained and separated because they wanted to own the road today, but are convinced to leave it to the boys this coming Friday Sept 4 @ 7pm at Myers Memorial Stadium!

Viesca Sisters Medal at Medina Valley! Great day for Dilley XC at the Medina Valley Invitational! Our athletes battled through a humid morning and a difficult course, and still competed hard from start to finish. Varsity Boys: Owen Surles paced the group, followed by Ram Ochoa, Ethan Hernandez, Zaydrian Sauceda, and Shawn Rodriguez. The boys fought through a tough course and continued to gain valuable race experience. Varsity Girls: Harvest Viesca led the way with a 13th place finish, earning a medal in a strong varsity field. Danica Hernandez, Jaelyn Rodriguez, and Larayna Sauceda also competed well despite the difficult conditions. JV Boys: Juan Rodriguez paced the JV boys, followed by Guadalupe Rodriguez and Hector Acosta. All three continued to show toughness and growth. JV Girls: Janae Garcia led the JV girls, with Aubrey Garcia also putting together a solid race. For the MHMS Pups, this was their first race of the season, and they gave us a lot to be excited about moving forward. 8th Grade Girls: Jenyka Galindo paced the group, followed by Llyana Navarro, Zaverie Medina, and Layla Ruiz. A solid first race of the year for this group on a tough course. 8th Grade Boys (not pictured): Julien Aguilar led the way, followed by Angel Trevino, Sebastian Sambrano, and Jake Davalos. Another strong first outing for the Pups. 7th Grade Girls: River Viesca had a huge first race, finishing 1st place overall in the combined 7th and 8th grade girls race! Kaitlyn Lopez, Jaelyn Hernandez, Ariana Yanez, and Gabriella Osio also competed well in their first meet of the season. Proud of the way our Wolves and MHMS Pups competed today. It was a tough, humid morning, but they stayed after it and represented Dilley well!!

Attention families, Varsity Parent Helmet Decal Evening, tomorrow August 26 at 5:30 p.m. at the Fieldhouse
