Congratulations to our Academic Wolves!! Our UIL students came in 3rd beating Jourdanton but behind Poth and Karnes City. The picture is only today’s group that competed, another group on Thursday kicked off the competition with a great start. Great job sponsors and students!!!

DHS Student Drop Off


The Lady Wolves traveled to Carrizo Springs this past weekend to compete in the Lady Wildcats tournament. A slow start to the tournament resulted in a loss to Hebbronville 10-1 with the only run coming off a homerun by Reyna Martel. Facing La Pryor next, the Lady Wolves were able dominate as they shut out the Bulldogs with a score of 19-0. Both Reyna Martel and Desirae Gonzalez were able to send one deep and over the fence. Picking up right where they left off, the Wolves beat Crystal City with a score of 11-4. Reyna Martel and Aracely Aranda sent two more over the fence totaling the Wolves with 5 homeruns in the tournament. The last day of the tournament resulted in two more tallies in the win column. Dilley beat Carrizo Springs 8-1 as well as Uvalde 8-7 on a great walk off base hit by Faith Aranda. Overall, the Wolves finished 3rd out of 10 teams playing. Reyna Martel and Desirae Gonzalez earned all tournament honors for their performances. Dilley went 4-1 on the weekend bringing their total record to 10-2. Dilley will begin district play as they host Cotulla on Tuesday, March 9th. Game time will be 6:00pm. Come out as the Lady Wolves make their push to the playoffs! Wolf Pride!
