*** Lytle Pirate Relays Results*** *Words for Wolves Track Coach* "The Dilley Boys Track team traveled to Lytle TX for their 2nd meet of the season. The V boys ended up placing 4th out of 8 teams present. All of our athletes competed well and we were very pleased with the results being that we got some of our athlete's back but we're still lacking athletes in HJ, PV, and no 4x400 team yet. Once we finish filling all spots, we will be close to competing with other district schools. Senior, Dorian Aranda replicated last week's dominant performance placing 1st in all his individual events, 100/400/Triple Jump/Long Jump, and 2nd in the 4x100. Aranda ran a career best in the 100m dash clocking in a blazin' 10.51! He shattered the school's 100m dash record previously set by Jeremiah Neves in 1998 with a time of 10.66! Additionally he ran the 400m dash for the first time in his career and ran a 51.26! Our boys 4x100 team also ran a personal best of 44.26,and came close to beating the school record of 44.08 set back in 1996. Yesterday's 4x100 team consisted of Ethan Santos, Juan Garcia III, Jacob Lopez, and Dorian Aranda. All results from JV/V Boys attached via PDF, we're proud of all the athletes for their hard work and the times have dropped across the board in given events." -Coach James Rodriguez *Words From Lady Wolves Track Coach* The Dilley Lady Wolves track team competed in Lytle yesterday and had some good performances. The varsity team finished 5th and the JV team finished tied for 5th. Chloe Rodriguez had another 1st place finish in the 400m dash. Dakota San Miguel had a 1st place finish in the discus and a 2nd place finish in the shot put in her first meet of the season. There was a lot of improvement on times from week 1 to week 2. We want to keep improving week to week so that we are peaking once district rolls around.
