Dilley Wolves vs Pearsall Mavericks Last Thursday, August 22nd, 2019 the Dilley Wolves football team traveled to Pearsall to take on the Mavericks. The Wolves came up short with a score of 2-1 during plays and the live quarter. Defensively the Wolves stood tough throughout the evening, Carlos Gonzalez recorded 1 forced fumble and 2 fumble recoveries, while Anthony Saavedra recovered 1 fumble. Offensively the Wolves drove down the field multiple times and racked up yardage only to be stopped when they hit the maximum number of plays within their offensive set. Cristian Aranda scored the Wolves only touchdown of the evening on a QB keep. The Wolves look to start the season 1-0 this week against the Carrizo Springs Wildcats. The game will be played at Gosch Field in Dilley, TX, at 7:30PM
