Lady Wolves Softball Tournament at Laredo (2-26-10 & 2-27-10)

The Lady Wolves opened up the border Olympics with a win this past Friday against the Roma Lady Gladiators. Bria Ramirez earned the win putting her record at 3-0. The Lady Wolves advanced to the winners bracket to face 5A powerhouse Rio Grande City. Led by the pitching of Unike Rodriguez the Lady Wolves fought hard but came up short by the score of 5-3. Next the Lady Wolves took on CC Winn out of Eagle Pass another highly respected 5A program on Saturday bright and early at 8 am in the morning. The Lady Wolves jumped out into a 2 to 1 lead in the second inning, off the two run blast into the gap by Bria Ramirez. The Lady Wolves yet again came up short at the end by the score of 6 to 3. Leading hitters were Jocelin Garcia and Esther Duran.
