Dilley Elementary School was awarded a Reading First Grant from the Texas Education Agency in August 2003. Dilley Elementary K-3rd Grade elected to begin a new core reading program named the Voyager Universal Literacy System. The students have completed their first benchmark testing on the Vital Indicators of Progress and results were sent to all parents. Students who need additional reading assistance have begun special reading classes. If you missed the Parent Information Open House regarding the new program, Voyager, please contact your child's classroom teacher and/or Mrs. Chris Autrey regarding any questions or needs. We strongly encourage families to visit the Dilley Public Library and get library cards for everyone in the family.
